The latest report on the analysis of top 100 and top 500 restaurants in China in 2019 was released by China Cuisine Association at the conference. Since the beginning of 2020, the catering industry has been seriously affected by the new coronary pneumonia. From January to April 2020, the national catering revenue was 833.3 billion yuan, down 41.2% year on year; the catering revenue of units above designated size was 178.6 billion yuan, down 38.6% year on year. At present, the catering industry is actively adjusting its preparations for returning to work, and further playing an important role in stimulating consumption, stabilizing employment and promoting economic development.
